Growers Magazine's Playing for Plants

Playing for Plants with Zelie Duvauchelle

Playing for Plants is our series dedicated to raising the vibration in the garden, from the soil to the flowers to the bees PLUS playing music in the garden is just good fun! As much as humans enjoy and find music healing, plants also benefit from music – birdsong, butterfly wings, and rushing water.

In this video our Editor at Large, Zelie Duvauchelle, plays her original song, Ka Lei U’ilani, at the Maui Mango Mala Farm in Lahaina, Maui.

Ka Lei U’ilani speaks of each island and the plant embodiment of that island. Hawaiian culture holds a special reverence for nature and the word u’i is used to express beauty.
